Anua Heartleaf Silky Moisture Sun Cream
Almost all of us have heard about the rave reviews of Anua heartleaf sunscreen. It is a chemical sunscreen that provides broad-spectrum protection of SPF 50, with heartleaf extract for soothing benefits. It is very lightweight and has a cream-like texture. When you apply it, it takes a bit of time to absorb, so you might need to wait it out a little. It doesn’t leave any white cast after application, instead, it feels more like a moisturizer and gives your skin a velvety finish after getting fully absorbed. And hey, if you use makeup afterward, it’s not going to mess with it.
You will benefit from this sunscreen if you have dry sensitive or oily acne-prone sensitive skin.
Tip 1: Do not forget to double cleanse the night, if you are wearing sunscreen during the day.
Anua Rice Enzyme Brightening Cleansing Powder
Anua rice powder contains rice extract and alpha arbutin to target dull skin, along with ceramide to strengthen the skin barrier. Its packed with mild AHAs to gently exfoliate, even out texture, and regulate sebum production. You can use it as an alternative to a water-based gel cleanser in your double cleansing routine, or just as a wash-off face mask on its own. With consistent use, it will help with mild hyperpigmentation due to the inclusion of alpha arbutin (for more targeted treatment, you might want to use their niacin + txa serum).
Just keep in mind that it’s primarily a cleanser that will give you a solid cleansing experience, but it comes with the added benefit of skin brightening in the long run. (Consistency is the key)
Tip 2: With enzyme powder, you can adjust the potency of the product by altering the water-to-powder ratio. So, suit yourself!
Anua Nano Retinol 0.3% + Niacin Renewing Serum
Anua retinol contains 0.11% retinol to target fine lines and niacinamide to minimize pores and improve skin texture. The term nano retinol means that it has been encapsulated into nanoparticles so the serum penetrates the skin better. This serum is gentle and will not cause skin irritation due to its advanced liposome technology, which simply means there is a slow release of the serum into the skin over time rather than all at once. Additionally, the concentration is kept at a minimum, making it a good choice for beginners and sensitive skin.
This can be used both in the morning and evening. Make sure to apply sunscreen if you are using it in the morning. If you want to target fine lines, acne scars, and hyperpigmentation but your skin has been sensitive to other retinol products, this one from Anua will not disappoint.
Anua Heartleaf Quercetinol Pore Deep Cleansing Foam
It is a cleansing foam that gently exfoliates dead skin cells. The texture is light foam and contains grains. It’s a great choice for oily and combination skin. However, it lathers and contains salicylic acid, so it might not be a good option for those with extremely dry skin to use daily. The product contains quercetinol, which is a mouthful, but it’s really just a blend of quercetin (an antioxidant) and retinol. Overall, this cleanser is meant to gently exfoliate dead skin cells and provide anti-acne benefits, while hyaluronic acid keeps your skin hydrated. While the cleanser feels grainy, the exfoliation comes from the salicylic acid. I’d recommend this one if you have oily or acne-prone skin.
Anua Heartleaf 80% Soothing Ampoule
Ampoules are like a supercharged version of serums, and Anua’s Soothing Ampoule is no exception. It’s packed with 80% of their star ingredient, heartleaf, along with hyaluronic acid and panthenol to leave your skin plump and hydrated. This ampoule is amazing for calming irritated skin while keeping it moisturized. The gel-like texture feels super lightweight and non-greasy. If your skin barrier is damaged, or inflamed from acne, or you’re dealing with rosacea, this is one product you need in your routine. Treat your skin to the soothing care it deserves.
Anua Niacinamide 10% + TXA 4% Dark Spot Correcting Serum
Anua Dark Spot Correcting serum is a perfect solution for anyone struggling with hyperpigmentation and acne scars. Almost all of us are battling with acne every now and then, whether it’s fungal, hormonal, or bacterial. We’ve all had our fair share and we know how frustrating it can be. Acne comes and goes after a battle, but the scars they leave behind are even more frustrating. It takes forever to fade. With a potent formula like this, which contains 10% niacinamide, 4% tranexamic acid, and 2% alpha arbutin, it helps get rid of acne scars and reduce hyperpigmentation. Also, it will suppress melanin production making your skin tone even and radiant.
Caution: The 10% niacinamide concentration is not for everyone, some people find it too strong. Studies suggest that niacinamide works better if used in a concentration of 2-5%.
Anua Heartleaf 77% Soothing Toner
Heartleaf Soothing Toner is Anua’s best-seller and has earned a spot in the skincare world. Honestly, it feels like every skincare enthusiast has this one in their collection. It contains 77% Heartleaf extract to soothe and calm irritated skin. I always apply a layer of toner after cleansing, and this one is amazing. It does a wonderful job of enhancing serum absorption.
It is a lightweight toner, almost like water, so be careful while applying. Splash some onto your palm and pat it onto the skin. (I’m not a big fan of using cotton for toner application, it’s such a waste of product.) This toner, I would say, is a goldmine for people with acne-prone, irritated skin, or rosacea-prone skin and is one of the best anti-inflammatory toners out there.
Caution: A few people have experienced acne breakouts with this product, and it is mainly because they might be sensitive to the other plant extracts in the ingredients list.
No skincare product is for everyone and you have to choose your pick wisely after a thorough research and of course a trial version of the product usage.
Anua Heartleaf Pore Control Cleansing Oil
This product works wonders for me in removing my blackheads—literally. And before you judge, yes I’ve seen mixed reviews of people getting discouraged by this product, but it might be because they’re using it wrong. I use it on completely dry skin, take an enormous amount of the cleansing oil, and rub my skin in a circular motion. Make sure you apply light pressure while making the circular motion. After 7–10 minutes of doing this, you’ll see blackheads on your fingertips. No kidding.
That’s the routine I follow once or twice a week when I notice blackheads on my nose. On other days, I don’t use it for that long—I’ll just use it for about 5 minutes to remove makeup and sunscreen. For me, it does what it says.
Tip 3: If this one still isn’t for you, I’d recommend trying Manyo Cleansing Oil.
