I never had acne in my entire 20s, but my 30s decided to switch things up. Suddenly, fresh zits started making surprise appearances, and I tried everything to fight them off. While some products worked just fine, Peace Out Acne Dots is the one I would swear by because it genuinely made the biggest difference.
Acne is that uninvited guest who doesn’t care about your skin type, it just shows up anyway. The real troublemakers are clogged pores which kickstart the whole acne drama: bacteria, inflammation, and all that jazz. Oily skin gets a little extra attention from acne, thanks to all that excess sebum. But don’t worry, dry skin and combination skin types aren’t totally off the hook, they still get their fair share of the struggle.
The absolute worst thing about acne for me is not just the breakouts themselves but the aftermath. The post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (aka those stubborn acne scars) that decide to take up permanent residency on your face. And trust me, I have been through it.
As someone with dry skin, I thought I had dodged the acne bullet, but no, there was a time when my face was covered in severe breakouts, and it hit me so hard that I legit spiraled into depression. Every morning, I would wake up to a tiny whitehead only for it to transform overnight into a full-blown monster. And the worst part? I never saw it coming. Like, I thought dry skin was supposed to protect me from this betrayal.
My Review
Peace Out Acne Dots are hydrocolloid patches infused with active ingredients to tackle breakouts overnight. They contain salicylic acid, retinol, and aloe vera, but the real star here is the encapsulated salicylic acid (0.5%), which dives deep into the pores to take on blemishes and blackheads head-on.
The first time I used these dots, I was genuinely amazed at how well they worked. I have tried Korean pimple patches before and while they were good, this one was hands down the fastest. I applied it on my breakout that was just starting to peek through, the kind that usually turns into a massive, angry breakout, but with this on, it sucked the gunk right out before it had the chance to grow into a nightmare.
After cleansing in the morning, when I went in to apply a fresh one, I was literally shocked. The redness and inflammation around my acne had visibly calmed down, and the whitehead was completely gone. You could literally see all the gunk on the patch.
Peace Out has a whole lineup of acne dots. They have Acne Healing Dots which contain salicylic acid, retinol, and aloe vera. You get 20 dots for $19 (as of now), and they’re designed for all skin types. They also have Acne Day and Night Dots, which work the same, but the difference is in the texture. The Day Dots are sheer and barely noticeable on the skin, making them perfect for wearing out, while the Night Dots are slightly thicker.
They also have another variation called Early Stage Acne Dots, which come with dissolving microneedles packed with salicylic acid (2%), niacinamide, and oligopeptides. Compared to the Acne Healing Dots (which have 0.5% salicylic acid), early stage acne dots are more potent and designed to stop breakouts before they even fully form. They also contain succinic acid, which helps regulate oil production, making them a great preemptive approach to acne. And just like the other Peace Out acne dots, they work for all skin types.
I have used both, and trust me, they are ah-mazing. They work so well on acne that once you try them, you will definitely fall in love and wonder how you ever dealt with breakouts without them in the first place. The adhesiveness of peace out acne healing dots is upto 24 hours.
I am sure some of you have a habit of picking at your acne. The great thing about acne dots is that they don’t just tackle those pesky zits but they also act as a protective barrier, keeping your hands off and preventing you from making things worse. Personally, I don’t have the habit of picking at my acne, but where I find these patches most helpful is during cleansing.
When I cleanse my face, I am always gentle, there is no aggressive rubbing or scrubbing, but having sensitive skin, I have noticed that the skin over my acne tends to break way too easily. So, mid-wash, my pimple pops, and the gunk ends up touching other areas (aka a disaster waiting to happen). But with these acne dots on? Problem solved. They act as a protective barrier, so I can wash my face without worrying about my acne breaking, even with the gentlest cleanse.
My Verdict
My verdict? Peace Out Acne Dots are officially a forever staple in my skincare stash. I’m stocking up on these for the long haul because those pesky, uninvited breakouts always find a way to show up when you least expect them. These patches don’t just suck the gunk out overnight but they also contain niacinamide and retinol, which help fade acne scars. So it’s not just about treating the breakout, it’s a holistic approach to healing your skin.
I honestly don’t see myself searching for or testing out any other acne dots, at least not anytime soon. With most skincare products, I am all for switching things up and trying new formulas, but this one has earned a permanent spot in my routine.

Karolina on Peace Out’s official website shares:
Karolina swears by these acne patches. She first tried them after someone at Sephora recommended them, and she’s never looked back. These patches have completely changed how she treats her acne, and she now considers them the perfect overnight acne solution. No other acne dot works like these, and she can’t imagine living without them. If she has a spot, she applies one during the day, and within just 4 hours, it’s less red and inflamed. When used overnight, the pimple is gone by morning. These patches are definitely worth the hype.
